He also said if you’d email him with your full name and how many copies you need, you can have the entire set of high-resolution photos (the ones online are low-res and won’t print well) on DVD for $5. That way you can use them however you want. Many thanks to Mr. Badeaux for doing this for us!

Know that you truly impacted this city in just one weeks time.

1. Fusion connected with nearly 20,000 people.

I get that number by taking the 2500, people connections, and the number of flyers passed out, 4000, and multiplying times 3, the average size if a family and the average size of a person’s sphere of influence, and that’s conservatively speaking.

2. Fusion opened the door to two major facilities for future church locations (Westcare Nevada - 130 residents - and 100 Academy of Excellence - 315 family units).

Both locations have already alluded to the strong possibility of having North Valley Fellowship launch a church out of their location. A huge God thing!

3. Fusion will/has played a significant role in North Valley Fellowship starting an internship program here in Las Vegas as a way to allow high school and college age individuals to come to Las Vegas to help reach the city.

4. Fusion canvassed nearly 4000 homes…in 2 hours!

5. Fusion was pivotal in 100 people come accepting Christ as their Savior.

6. Fusion connected with and greatly inspired Stephanie Calvert, singer for Jefferson Starship. Stephanie has some incredible connections both with the music and acting world. This connection will take Fusion’s influence beyond the local neighborhoods and now down to the Las Vegas Strip.

7. Fusion partnered with North Valley Fellowship and saw 1400 people come to the Community Connection @ Centennial Hills Park.

8. Fusion was pivotal in getting Fox news out to the park event and a 30 second to 1 minute spot on the local evening news about our church.

9. Fusion was pivotal in getting the Centennial View, a local newspaper in our area, to do a detailed article on our church plant. On Sunday March 22nd, the reporter was at our church snapping shots. The article will appear next week.

10. Thanks to the momentum Fusion caused, NVF will break both their numerical record and giving record in the month of March.

11. The stories/miracles from Fusion’s week in Las Vegas are still flowing in… stories/miracles of renewal, healing, restoration, transformation and a new found interest in the things if God.

A Final Count
—————

2500 people influenced

7 Venues performed

100 professions of faith

4000 homes canvassed

250 registration cards collected (those are families)

2 new doors of opportunity opened

20,000 approximate total contacts made

Thank you for everything, and God Bless you all for your service,

Jeff Harris

Sorry to be so long between updates; things have been rather non-stop for a while. Here’s a brief overview of the last couple days, then we’ll get right to the many great stories from students.

Wednesday morning we got to sleep in, which was a welcome relief for everyone. We had an afternoon concert at a private school in the North Valley called Academy of Excellence. We set up on their concrete outdoor basketball court and played during their ‘Enrollment BBQ’ between 3 and 5pm. This was a cool opportunity, because not only were almost all the students around, but their parents were there as well. It was a carnival/block party kind of event, so when we weren’t singing, some of us were helping serve hot dogs, man the inflatable games, etc. Not that I got to participate, but I did observe a fairly epic game of football going on in the lot adjacent to the court where we were setting up. One of the school leaders presented us with a plaque of recognition in thanks for our participation in their event.

After the school event, we packed up very quickly in order to make it over to the Rescue Mission, get set up and ready to go by 7:30. We barely got going in time, but it turned out to be the smoothest program we did all week. Since the stage is very small, we did the whole show acoustic. Since we had a fairly attentive sit-down audience - and free reign to share the Gospel - we took a break in the middle of our usual program to add in a couple of extra songs. First, we asked Stephanie to sing and share a bit of her story. She shared about her father’s death and how it impacted her, then she sang the song she sang at his funeral. We then sang ‘Hold Me Now’ and ‘Revelation Song,’ which turned out to be some of the most passionate and effective songs we did. We picked up again at ‘Whatever Reason,’ where we had left off, then Matt got up and issued a brief Gospel presentation, to which probably a couple dozen folks responded by acknowledging a new relationship with Christ. The Mission invited us to an ice cream social in their kitchen after the program, so we got to go hang out and love on them. We ended up leaving all our equipment set up in their chapel, since neither we nor they had anything else going on before we were going to be there again.

Thursday we got up and met near the school where North Valley meets to do literature distribution. We divided into family groups and passed out several thousand fliers in the community, advertising for NVF’s new series around Easter Sunday. We came back to the guys’ house, had a pool-side group devotion time, then split into interest groups and spent the afternoon at various recreational activities. One group went up to the Mission a couple hours early because they wanted some folks to come help with clothing distribution. It didn’t quite turn out the way they planned, but I’ll let one of that group tell you about that later. We had another program at the Mission at 7:30. We did essentially the same thing (that’s pretty much all we know!), but this time Stephanie wasn’t around, so…she didn’t sing…right. Also, at the end of this one, Matt came up to talk about all the things God is doing in Las Vegas, and we sang ‘God of This City’ together. We had some more time to spend with the people while the band and crew tore down the system.

Today (Friday) we’ve spent most of the day at Red Rock Canyon, climbing and eating lunch, and now we’re waiting around for the girls to get their stuff together. We’ll head to a cookout for dinner, then off to the airport.

That’s all from me for now. Do you like how brief that was? Now for the good stuff:

This has been an awesome week here in Vegas. God has shown up in even more ways than last year. We sang at a shelter for women, children, and teens, and it was incredible. At first I don’t think some of them really knew what to think, but as the show went on, they seemed to get interested. My favorite part was when some of the young women came up to me afterwards and told me how much this really impacted them. They said they were so inspired now, and felt that they were invincible. That is just what these people needed. They needed to hear that God was behind them, backing them up 100%. That’s the message God told them through us, and we were honored to be the ones God used this week.

Our family group was asked to go to the rescue mission early to help with a clothing distribution. When we got there we were told that there was actually no clothing distribution that day. The man in charge told us to go outside and witness to people who were coming and leaving from the mission. It was so cool to have the opportunity to just talk to people and share with them the hope of Jesus Christ. Some people completely denied His existence, and that was just really sad to hear. Others were open to hear what we had to say and came back for the show that night. I am so blessed that I got this opportunity because maybe someone who really needed to hear the message came because of hearing what Christ had done for us and what He could do for them too.
